A couple of tips and tricks to help you get ready for your photo session with me:
Newborns:
Newborns:
- Keep the room warm, very, very warm. Babies don't like to get cold and they sleep best when the sun is indirectly hitting their skin.
- Have soft blankets and pillows ready. Try to stay away from itchy materials. You don't want a squirmy baby for photos!
- Have props ready! Etsy.com has lots and lots of accessories for sale for babies.
- For cheap containers, go to Marshall's and get a basket or a colorful box.
- If you don't have time, a clean white bed sheet does wonders in natural light
- Go somewhere fun! The park is a great place to start.
- Have props ready! Again, Etsy is the best place to go for accessories.
- Bring lots of snacks.
- Bring different outfits!
- Don't overly focus on posing them, it doesn't work, and kids photograph better on the go.
- Get ready to run around after them. I'll have my sneakers on and so should you!
- Go somewhere colorful and interesting!
- If you have to be indoors, there's nothing like a family in pajamas playing in bed.
- You don't have to color coordinate but try to wear clothes around the same tone. Dark colors with dark colors, light colors with light.
- Don't wear colors that will match the landscape. So if you want to go to a park, stay away from green and brown. The beach? No blues or beige.
- Have fun and bring some props!
- Go somewhere interesting! Instead of the park, why not in the city with skyscrapers in the background?
- Coordinate your clothes but don't wear the same colors. You want to be with each other but you don't want to blend into each other. :)
- Bring props and have fun!
- Have some comfortable shoes on the side. The heels are great, but not so great for walking.
- Wear comfortable shoes! What more can I say about this? Wear comfortable shoes.
- Long dresses are nice and comfortable!
- Bring lots of water. We need you to stay hydrated mama!
- Bring a supportive partner.
- Don't worry about how you look too much, you're gonna be glowing and all the photos will reflect that!
